Launch your boat

 

Public access to Bostwick Lake is available through the Bostwick Lake Park located North of the Bostwick Lake Inn on Kitson street and through coordinated use of the boat ramp. The boat ramp is located just north of the Bostwick Lake Inn and shares the same parking lot. The Inn has no ownership nor any operational responsibilities for the ramp.

Bostwick Lake Park boasts a wide lake frontage and is suitable for swimming and fishing alike. The swimming area is roped off to ensure swimmers do not encroach into the boating area. Boating rules on the lake require all boats to maintain a minimum distance of 100′ from the roped off area.

Boat Ramp Hours are 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM Daily

 

Boat Ramp launch rules:

 

  • Ramp access is only available to Bostwick Lake association members.
    Pay your $250 membership dues (Firework donations also welcome!) PRIOR to scheduling the launch.
  • To pay online, see the Home page. You may also pay your Governor by check.
  • A list of Bostwick Lake Association Governors can be found on the Officers tab on the Home page: governors
  • For access to the ramp, you must contact your governor at least 24 hours in advance of desired date and arrange a time to meet at the gate.
  • Note that the governors are all volunteers, so you may need to seek a second or third governor that is available to meet at your requested time.
  • Texting is suggested as the preferred communication method with the Governors (phone, email options remain of course).
  • Please include your full name and street address in correspondence so the Governors can confirm your 2026 Membership before scheduling.
  • Please bring your paid receipt, your drivers license, and boat registration to the ramp at your scheduled time.
  • Be prepared and be on time
  • Charge your battery, use fresh gas, replace the drain plug, and start your watercraft prior to bringing to the boat ramp.
  • We must be clear of the ramp and have it closed by 11:00 AM so please plan your launch time accordingly.
  • We will not launch a watercraft after 10:45 AM.

NOTES:

  • Please take advantage of this advance notice and schedule accordingly either personally or with your boat delivery service. It is the responsibility of the Member to schedule the launch reservation with the Governor. Governors will not accept communication from the boat delivery services.
  • Local township laws do not allow mooring of boats overnight, so everyone wishing to use the lake during the day, must abide by the 11am ruling for access to the ramp.
